Writing is hard work. It takes time, patience and practice to take a story inside your head, then put it on paper in a way that readers find compelling. On top of that, marketing is a totally different skill set, but it’s mostly left up to the author, whether you’re traditionally-or-indie published. I’m hard at work at Pennies #2 (still untitled, and still going painfully slow). I’ve heard this term before, but now that I’m living it these days, it’s a whole, new kind of awful.
